FAQs

  • We craft custom portraits in two forms:

    • Carved Portraits — your image translated into relief on engineered wood: depth, grain, shadow.

    • Watercolour Portraits — your image rendered in watercolor tones and printed with archival pigment.
      Both arrive wrapped in eco-paper, sealed with red wax, and housed in a gift box—made to be unveiled, not just opened.

  • Core sizes in inches:

    12×12, 12×18, 18×18, 18×24.
    Need a special size? Share the dimensions; if it’s structurally sound and shippable, we’ll make it happen.

    • Yes. We process the order only on approval of the digital preview. 

    • All photos work for us—old or new. But for the best result, we suggest uploading the highest quality photo you can provide. 

  • Yes—if angles and lighting are compatible. If not, we’ll say so and suggest a better option.

  • They’re machine-assisted, hand-finished. Precision where it matters, human touch where it counts.

  • Archival pigment printing (Epson pro-grade) on fine-art paper with tactile, gallery-grade character. Colorfast, made to last.

  • If we made an error, we fix it. If tastes changed post-delivery, that’s a new commission.

  • Typical making times (after photo confirmation):

    • Carved Portraits: ~4-6 business days, depending on complexity and queue.

    • Watercolour Portraits: usually 2-4 business days to print and finish.

    Shipping times are in addition to the making times (see “Shipping”).

    • Packaging: eco-friendly wrap, red sealing wax, gift box, protective bracing.

    • Domestic (India): typically 5–10 business days after dispatch.

    • International: typically 10–20 business days, customs-dependent.
      You’ll receive tracking when the piece ships. Customs, weather, and force majeure may cause delays—we’ll keep you informed.

  • Sometimes. Rush depends on the queue. Ask before ordering; if we can meet the date without compromising quality, we will.

  • Yes—if a reliable carrier serves your destination, we ship.

  • International buyers do. Duties and taxes are collected by the carrier or customs in your country.

  • These are custom, made-to-order works—no returns or exchanges.
    If the piece arrives damaged or with a material defect, email us within 48 hours with clear photos (an unboxing video helps). Once confirmed, we’ll remake or refund—whichever resolves it best and fastest.

    • Before production begins: up to a 50% refund (we retain design/admin time).

    • After carving/printing starts: non-cancellable.

  • Yes. 

    • Carved (wood): Keep dry. Dust gently with a soft brush/cloth. Avoid solvents and direct sun/heat.

    • Watercolour (print): Frame behind UV-protective acrylic or glass. Hang away from moisture, direct sunlight, and heat sources.
      Treat it like a memory with a spine.

  • Subtle cleanup is fine (stray objects, minor blemishes). Drastic changes that alter identity become illustration—different scope and pricing.

  • Yes. We use your images only to make your piece. We don’t use them in marketing without your explicit consent. Want us to delete files after delivery? Ask; we’ll confirm once done.

  • Yes—schools, colleges, offices, hospitality, events, awards, commemorations.

    • MOQ: flexible by size/finish.

    • Lead time: typically 2–6 weeks after artwork lock.

    • Branding: discreet plaques, inner-lid prints, or custom cards available.
      Share quantity, deadline, and budget; we’ll spec a solution.

  • Of course. Add the recipient’s address at checkout. We can include a handwritten note—tell us what to write. No pricing inside the box.

  • Major cards, UPI, and standard digital payments supported by our platform. For larger B2B orders, bank transfer is available.

  • Rare, but carriers can fumble. We’ll chase, escalate, and—if needed—re-make. You won’t be left hanging.

  • No. Everything is made to order. That’s why it feels like an object with a biography, not a SKU.

  • We work by appointment only. Email us; if we can host you without disrupting production, we will.
